Friday, Mr. Honcoop's class had a visit from Kari Gabriel - The Montana Bird Lady - as she taught a lesson called "Living with Raptors of Montana."
Students met Hawkeye, a Rough-Legged Hawk, and Jack, a Prairie Falcon.

Feb. 28th West Valley will have an area SRO (school resource office) visiting with 8th graders about internet safety and things they may encounter online at the high school level (this may include topics such as cyberbullying, sexting, apps & social media platforms to be aware of). The 8th graders will have instruction that is related to the MT standards for Social Emotional Learning Competencies of evaluating external influences, developing skills in analyzing information, recognizing unsafe situations and using strategies for removing oneself from those situations. If you choose not to have your child participate, please email our middle school counselor: cthurman@westvalleyschool.com.
